Taormina is one of the most fascinating destinations in Sicily, thanks to the splendid natural position that offers a unique view of Mount Etna and the Ionian coast, the mild climate and the historical and artistic heritage. The little town has a medieval aspect and traces referable to different periods. The Ancient Theater, symbol of the town, the Odeon and the Naumachia can be dated to the Greek-Roman period, interesting are also the noble palaces in Gothic or Baroque style.
It became a favorite destination for Grand Tour travelers and then place of the Italian “dolce vita” and location for many movies; artists, writers and famous actors have strolled through its narrow streets.
There are many glimpses in Taormina that offer an opportunity to tell stories of love and madness, cinema and literature. Don’t miss the view from the garden dedicated to Lady Trevelyan!
